Endodontics
Endodontics or root canal treatment involves the removal of infected pulp, cleaning and shaping the canals and filling the canal system with a rubber-like material called gutta percha. This substance seals the canal so as to avoid reinfection. The tooth is then restored with a filling or crown.
Root canal treatments are generally done in one or two visits depending on the complexity of the case.
